How do I get there?
Sayulita is about a 40 minutes drive north from Puerto Vallarta’s airport. A taxi (car or s.u.v.) will take you for about $50 US dollars. There’s a bus stop just across freeway 200, from the airport thru the pedestrian bridge, and the ride to Sayulita will cost you no more than $3 dollars per person, and a bit more time.
Take the white/green, mid-sized “Compostela” brand bus to Sayulita, an information person is usually available in that area for assistance. Last bus runs to Sayulita at 10:00 p.m.
Should I rent a car?
Sayulita is a small town and Casa Nawalli is locate at the heart of it, you will find every place of interest at a comfortable walking/bicycle distance. A rental car could be an advantage if you plan to explore other destinations along the Riviera Nayarit, which is a very scenic and picturesque 100+ miles drive from Puerto Vallarta to the town of San Blas.
What's the weather like?
Sayulita is blessed with a nearly perfect weather from late autumn till early spring, with temperatures ranging from 60°F to 90°F. From late spring to early summer temperature warms up to 95°F (35º C) during a dry season that gives way to an abundant rainy season from late summer to early autumn.
How far is it from the beach?
Casa Nawalli is located just a block and a half away from one of the most beautiful and uncrowned beaches in town. 4 min walk on a flat street.
Are children allowed?
Casa Nawalli is an adults only guesthouse, conceived as a tranquility oasis for our guests in this colorful and lazy town.
Are pet guests allowed?
No pets are allowed. We apologize. At Casa Nawalli we take special pride on our luscious, edible gardens. For the great care and effort invested in them, we are sure you will understand, and enjoy result of our pet restriction.
Is Sayulita safe?
Security is nowadays a central concern everywhere. We are lucky to live in a safe and tranquil destination. Our house has 24/7 surveillance and CCTV mainly to assist guests. We still recommend common sense and taking care of yourself and your belongings.
During our rainy season, a flood or hurricane warning maybe issued. Due to our location, hurricanes do not approach very often.
In case of a security or weather warning is issued, please follow the local authorities and our staff’s advice.
What activities are available in Sayulita?
Sayulita is a small, active and diverse town, at the heart of Riviera Nayarit. Outdoors activities are the most common. Available sports include: surfing (of course), paddle boarding, yoga, SUP yoga, tai-chi, cycling, trekking, ziplinning, fishing, sailing, scuba diving. Conservation and Nature observation and education tours include birdwatching, jungle trekking, whale watching, orchid observation, turtle releasing and jaguar sightseeing, photo safaris, etc. Wellness and spa services are also available in town. How do touristic seasons work in Sayulita?
Sayulita has three touristic seasons: Low (June 1st – October 31st), High (November 1st – May 31st) and Holidays including Christmas and New Year’s (December 17th- January7th) and Holy week (April 7-17, 2017)
